Consummating the elements of spoken word and composition conceived the art of hip hop.  This stroke of genius cultivated into a cultural movement, and acted as the revolutionary “voice of the people.”  Nowadays, that boisterous voice has withered into the hands of loquacious mercenaries.  According to artist and writer, JL (J.O.T Lyrical), his mission is to revive this dying genre by breathing substance into the music.

 

Deeming himself the, “Jack of All Trades” lyrically, JL constructs rhythmic cadences that reflect an array of musical styles, and appeals to diverse categories of music listeners.  JL strives to conjoin rhyme and verse in a manner that allows audiences to relish rhapsodic beats; yet, appreciate the underlying message.  His musical archives consist of soulful expressions of life, love, and struggle, to bass pumping recordings promoting confidence and creating a zest for life.
